Focus (Under Construction)

Focus is concentrating, and paying attention. Focus is not being distracted, and it's the most important mental skill a wrestler can have.  You must be able to remain focused for the duration of a 6 minute match plus overtime.  A focused wrestler is totally absorbed in the match, in his effort and execution, while blocking out all the things he can't control; all the distractions.  Losing focus causes the following:
  • Experiencing fear, anxiety, or panic.  
  • Getting psyched out.
  • Performing below your ability level.
  • Choking when it counts most.
